Human rights in the US are rights applicable and inherent to all human beings. No-one should be discriminated against on the basis of their nationality, color, region, language, caste, sex, place of residency, or any other status. We are all equally entitled to our human rights without discriminating against anyone. These rights are related with each other, interdependent and cannot be divided for some specific community or group and are all equal before the law of freedom of expression. The principle of not discriminating against someone on the base of sex, color, caste and so on is stated in the Universal Declaration Of Human Rights which is, “All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights”.

Democracy in the US is a very challenging type of a government for the politicians
and for the common people as well. The word democracy is from the Greek
language which means “rule by the people (simple people)”. Democracy is a principle and
institutionalization of freedom.

There are three types of democracies:

1. Direct democracy
2. Presidential democracy
3. Parliamentary democracy

Human rights and democracy are very important to our lives, because every person has to obey and respect the human rights of others and they have the very right to live their life and make their life better with their hard work and efforts without being restricted by any government or any other community unless their intentions are illegal.

Most people enjoying their rights in US. In the US people have more job opportunities which we can`t see in other countries. In the Us we see much less racial discrimination than there was in the past. All people belonging to any race enjoy their social rights. Barack Obama the first African-American to be the president of the Us is the best example of it. According to US constitution (seventeenth amendment) women have full rights but besides this women are not guaranteed to enjoy their full rights; we all know many people are still deprived of their actual social rights. Like other countries the Us is also not a perfect country where the whole people are enjoying their rights. We can see many discrepancies there as well. But despite all of these, the people of the Us are aware of their rights and they know very well how can they get their rights. Information technologies are one of the fastest means to assist humans to learn about their social rights.

Freedom of Information/Access To Information In US:

Access to information is the right of all citizens which is provided by the US to its people which is to see all official information kept by the government about them. There is some private sources of information like information about company’s businesses and they have the very right to prevent them from any type of misuse which will lead them to a severe loss. There are also some privacy acts being bound by the government to make the information secure from misuse and restricted to the limited people who use it for legal purposes.

Information technologies can be of different types such as the internet, mass media,
mobiles, etc which provide all kinds of information to people. Now it depends on
the people of the Us as to how they can use these technologies according to social needs. Information technologies can be helpful to assist human rights and democracy. We can take the recent example of Libya where the people united through mass media and
fought together for the sake of getting social and other rights as well.

To sum up one may easily conclude that in the Us and in most of the parts of the world,
information technology has increased awareness among people about their social
rights. Moreover the modern age has solved our problems so that we can easily access
information technology and enjoy our social rights.
